What Inspires Me to do Photography?

I hope you are doing well. I believe I haven’t told many people this. I will answer this question today:

What or who got me into photography?

If you prefer a vlog to this question, the video is right here.

Being a man, what got me into photography was women of course. I enjoy everything about a woman’s body. I happen to be into women’s feet.

I began to photograph some of the ladies that were willing to get in front of my lens back in the day to do foot photo shoots. I shared my work with like-minded individuals on social media.

That’s part of the reason I got into photography.

What else got me into photography was hip hop photography.

Seeing the 90s photos of various hip hop artists I would save back in the day on my computer to study and try to understand what the photographer and artist was trying to tell us at the time.

From that point forward, I began to photograph anything from nature to boudoir to portraits.

I experimented with lifestyle portraits to bdsm photography. While I enjoyed creating art with bdsm, Overtime I felt like something was missing and I wasn’t reaching my full potential.

For a brief period, I dabbled with wedding photography as a secondary photographer and photographed a wedding reception 2 years ago.

While it is cool to document a couple’s special day and I enjoyed the opportunity to photograph these special occasions, I am honest when I say weddings are not for me. I feel limited on how I can create them in my vision.

I also realized that I do not care to shoot events. I only will pull my camera out when I can document the event in my own way without pressure or someone rushing with the turn and burn mentality.

at’s when I began to experiment more with creating my work in an artsy way.

For the last 2 years, I went from photographing portraits from traditional to more of an artistic feel.

I believe as a photo artist, my work range from documentary to portraits to lifestyles of people of color’s experiences.

Below are a few images of the photographer’s work as to where I draw my inspiration from. There is plenty I can name, however, I will keep it brief.
