Today as I was watching a documentary on CM Punk’s Evolution to UFC. I heard one of the coaches tell the him after the sparring practice that, “either you winning or your learning.” From that moment, I knew the images I could use for this blog to illustrate a positive & motivational blog. Bottomline, It’s okay to make mistakes, learn from them and rise up from the ashes like a phoenix.
When we make mistakes, some of us tend to beat ourselves up more than others. I will admit that I fall into this category at times. However what keeps me going is that mistakes are a learning tool to improve, rise up and be better the next time. The only time a mistake should turn into a failure is if one willingly decides to quit and give up on something that have a passion about. There are somethings in our journey that we try, not succeed in it and move on to something else. What we try in and don’t succeed in is something I wouldn’t count as a failure because we as individuals have our own unique talents and that’s what makes everyone different. Everyone is not meant to be a doctor, rich, famous, Corporate CEO, WNBA, NBA, NFL player or star for that matter. However as a person with whatever unique talents that we have, we can excel and succeed in. Mistakes should not be considered failures if we are making an effort. Once we understand that, we can begin to walk out of your comfort zone, try a different approach and improve. Once we conquer this battle, that’s when you’re winning and that’s the time to focus on a new task. The next time it feels like you’re losing the battle, just remember…..
“Either You’re Winning or You’re Learning.”
